Weight Watchers
I’ve been in a stall pattern for the last month or so, but I’m looking to change that. In fact, I’m planning on starting Weight Watchers. I don’t have any intention of going to the meetings or anything, but I’m going to try follow the food plan. I haven’t started yet, but I’m going to as soon as I get materials in hand. It feels good knowing there’s a plan.
My best friend started weight watchers recently, and one of my friends at work is getting ready to resume her own diet plan, so I think now is a good time. The more support the better, especially since I won’t be paying for weekly meetings!

Glad to see that you posted again and aren’t giving up. I ran into your website several weeks ago and have been checking back every day or so to see when you were going to return. I’ve been stalled about 9 months so I was sort of looking to you for some inspiration. Good luck on Weight Watchers and I’ll be checking back. Sounds like you have an action plan now.
Oh, you may already know this but I found your site because you are listed as number #23 of the Top 100 Health and Wellness Blogs by the Nursing Online Education Database that was published on Tuesday the 2nd of October, 2007. That’s pretty cool!

Glad to see you back Jenn! Sounds like you’ve got a good plan to get back at it, especially with that support from your friends.
I’m starting a new plan (Bob Greene’s Best Life Diet) next week, too, and I’m really excited! I’ll definitely be following along with you.
Is the Bob Greene’s Best Life Diet like his Total Body Makeover? I’m trying to work my way through this book and it’s good but really hard if you actually do the feeling exercises. Well, the physical ones too!
Julie - I have no idea! I haven’t read Total Body Makeover. The Best Life is really… sensible. It’s not very restrictive or demanding, but it sure is pushing me to do a lot of mental work about the how and why of gaining and losing weight!
Actually, I should have said mental work instead of feeling exercises. It’s just really hard for me but I’m trying. I generally operate in dieting like a feast or a famine with nothing in between. I also have a hard time with getting all those emotions in order that he wants you to do. I am seeing an eating disorder psychologist who has me on this plan. She did this makeover as a workshop several years ago and she really believes in him. The Best Life Plan should even be better. Good Luck!
