Post-Holiday Pitfalls
Here we are, one day past Halloween, probably surrounded by temptation… in the form of fun-size Snickers, Reeses’ Pieces, and Butterfingers. All in all, I bought a TON of candy, both to hand out to trick-or-treaters and to give out at work. I sent the remainder of last night’s candy with my mother, who will be taking it to work. That still leaves a huge grocery bag full of candy at my desk. I’ve been foisting it off on unsuspecting coworkers all day, but it will likely last into next week. Unfortunately, the willpower didn’t last nearly that long, and I have to admit, I’ve been grazing this afternoon.
How about you? What are you doing to avoid temptation?? Or are you currently sneaking an empty Baby Ruth wrapper into the garbage can?

what I did to avoid the candy was just not bring it to work with me. heh
but then I showed up at work and my boss brought in all his candy. bummer.
my plan for tomorrow is just to bring a ton of fruit
Not as good as chocolate, but oh well.
Good luck getting through the rest of the left over holiday candy!
My supervisor brought in a bucket of her daughter’s Halloween candy, so I took a bag of strawberry shredded wheat squares to work. The strawberry makes them very yummy (well…not as yummy as Halloween candy), and they also help to fill me up. It’s worked so far.
move it…take it to the lobby or something…get it away from arm’s reach
Get rid of it…bring it to a nursing home or a daycare or a women’s shelter or just throw it away. If it is not in front of you, you wont be tempted!!!
My daughter went out trick or treating and came back with 7.5 lbs of sugary goodness. Luckily she doesn’t like a lot of candy - but loves sorting it and then sharing with friends and family. So what she doesn’t want she gave away, and the rest is in a zip lock bag with her name on it - out of sight!
